What’s this, black metal with major chords and post-prog passages? Remniscent of Enslaved, and I know that’s a moving-target of a comparison. Fortid keeps their energy between uptempo and mellow, with a generally “bright” spin on things, in the underground metal sense, equal or greater to that of modern Enslaved (which I also love, by the way).
For their enthusiasm and technical chops alone, Fortid is a band worthy of praise, and, in my case, collecting their physical albums.
