Issolei is an experimental, blasting, acrobatic-riffing, melodic-and-dissonant black metal band from Norway. I see people comparing them to Deathspell Omega, but I hear more of an original blend of various European black metal heroes along with external influences, like psychedelic and progressive rock. Issolei’s albums are a wicked blend of ugly, beautiful, complex, fast, and cinematic.
