Thy Darkened Shade may only have two albums and a couple of compilation tracks to their name (as of early 2022), but they’ve made quite a mark on the black metal scene. Those of us who have been lucky enough to discover their work have not forgotten this band; most notably for their intricate, original riffs and blasting rhythm section. “Liber Lvcifer I: Khem Sdjet”, is a complex, intricate, and well-produced sophomore release of surprisingly high quality. These are some of the best black metal riffs I’ve heard… Ever?
