What’s this, black metal with major chords and post-prog passages? Remniscent of Enslaved, and I know that’s a moving-target of a comparison. Fortid keeps their energy between uptempo and mellow, with a generally “bright” spin on things, in the underground metal sense, equal or greater to that of modern Enslaved (which I also love, by the way).
Anyone who wants to add to their knowledge of science and/or history can find something profound in these . Even if you have reasons not to believe what Burke is teaching, you can at least understand the way the Western Academic World views recent and not-so-recent history. Just like athiests can read the bible without spontaneously lighting on fire (usually), non-believers can subject themselves to the teachings of another culture, if only to understand the world a little more.
